Ronnie could possibly share his home with another dog. He would benefit from having social doggy pals when out and about. We have no history of Ronnie around cats, small furries, or livestock. Ronnie could share his home with children as young as eleven. He is friendly with visitors to the home. He has history of being housetrained but may need reminding in a new home. Ronnie has high exercise needs and has got bags of potential for a working type dog, tracking or scent, and dog sports for fun. Ronnie could cope with a reasonably busy home environment. He is not a fan of car travel as he gets car sick. Experience with dogs would be helpful.
Could you be Ronnie’s perfect match?
Ronnie is a six-month-old German Shepherd/East European Shepherd who is an absolute gem of a dog. He is typical of his breed in terms of being vocal, seeks reassurance from his human, and he is brave, but underneath- not really! Underneath he is such a gentle boy who adores a fuss and gives lovely snuggles. Ronnie is not motivated by toy play; he sometimes likes to chase after a toy. He eats well, and he loves high value treats as a reward, his favourite is chicken. He is only a young boy, and he still needs work on his socialisation skills, and learning how to behave appropriately. Positive reward training is great for mental stimulation and fun for both dog and human. Ronnie can be nervous of dogs initially and will show this in his body language and by a bark. Once Ronnie has met the other dog, he is a social boy who loves to play, and he enjoys their company. He can read the other dogs’ social ques well. Ronnie loves long walks and would benefit from having nice walks close to his home.
