Little Bear is a Lurcher cross Collie who could share his home with teenagers aged 15 and above. He could share his home with another dog, although as a young, bouncy pup he can be quite boisterous when he plays so a dog who can match his playstyle would be ideal. He does have a chase drive so can’t share his home with cats or small furries and we have no history of him with livestock, so introductions would need to be done gradually. He is housetrained and has had some basic training, although he’s still got lots to learn so he’d make a great candidate for classes. He would prefer a reasonably quite household, as he does get excited when there’s too much going on but he would like his humans with him for as much time as possible and may benefit from a multi-person home. Time left alone will need to be built up gradually as he isn’t used to being left alone for long.
Could you be Little bear’s perfect match?
Little Bear is a an adorable one-year-old Lurcher cross. He is a beautiful, loving, playful and bright boy. He has so much love to give, he loves to snuggle in close to you and have a fuss. He is learning his basic commands such as ‘sit’, hand touch and ‘drop’ (as he loves to play fetch). He enjoys being with other dogs and sometimes gets over excited when he sees them from a distance. He may benefit from quieter walks whilst he works on his focus around other dogs. Little Bear is friendly with new people, he can be exuberant with his greeting, but soon calms down once he’s had the chance to say hello. He loves to be active, he enjoys playing with a ball, and likes tug games. and he also likes to use his mind. He’d be a great dog for Canicross, agility or flyball if you’re looking for an active companion.
