Charlie is a worried lad looking for an especially quiet home with a secure garden and away from busy roads. He is sound sensitive and struggles to settle inside if there is too much activity going on outside, so Charlie needs an adult-only home with no children and very few visitors. He cannot live with other pets. Charlie will need to be on the lead and muzzled for walks which must be in quiet areas with very few dogs and people. Charlie adores food and toys and a game of fetch is sure to win his heart. Once he has made friends, he loves a game of zoomies and a gentle fuss. Charlie prefers to take his time to get to know other dogs – he has got some doggy friends here that he goes off lead with. He can be reactive with strangers and dogs and can also guard his food and toys, so he will need his own room in the house where can go for feeding and to relax away from visitors. Once settled in his new home, any time alone for Charlie will need to be built up gradually over time.
Could you be Charlie’s perfect match?
Charlie is a special 7-year-old Collie cross who is looking for a patient and loving home. Charlie is super fun and loves racing around chasing after his toys – tennis balls are his favourite and he will always bring them back to you! Charlie is a very clever boy who loves his training. He would love an active adult family who like going on long walks. He also travels well in the car and will be an excellent companion for adventures further afield! Charlie takes a long time to build a bond and trust you, but once he does he loves to cuddle up to you and gives the best kisses! If you are the kind, patient owner Charlie is looking for, please apply and if successful, be aware that a meet will be arranged at the centre within 48 hours with multiple further visits in order for you and Charlie to start building a bond so it’s important that you live no more than an hour away from us.
