Bowe is living off-site in a foster home on our home from Home Scheme. He could possibly share his home with a female dog. He would enjoy opportunities to socialise with other dogs when out and about. We have no history of Bowe around cats, small furries, or livestock. Bowe could live with teenage children in his home. Bowe likes meeting people and could cope with a reasonably busy home environment. He is totally housetrained. He loves the car and he travels well. Time left alone will need to be built up gradually, in his foster home so far he has built up to being happy for a few hours alone.
Could you be Bowe’s perfect match?
Bowe is a three-year-old Dogue De Bordeaux. Once Bowe knows you, he is affectionate and likes a fuss. He is very loving, and adores attention. He likes to wander about the house, follow his foster carers, and watch what is going on. He watches tv ,he loves to sit and watch the world. Bowe likes to sleep on the landing or outside the bedrooms at night, because he snores. Other times he likes to relax on his comfy bed or the sofa. He enjoys playing with a ball, a bigger size dog ball is safer! He loves being with the foster family when they are outside doing stuff and loves laying in the grass and playing ball. Bowe enjoys high value treats, such as chicken, or beef-cake; he knows a ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave’, ‘find it’ – for a toy, and ‘stay’. Bowe loves to socialise with other dogs who are also social and friendly. He is very playful with other dogs, some dogs may not appreciate his playstyle, and therefore he will need suitable off-lead playmates. Bowe enjoys his walks, bear in mind that he can be strong on his lead when he is excited to go somewhere. His foster carers describe him as ‘having a Lovely personality, and a funny, entertaining character.’ They say that everyone that meets him, loves him!
