Apache can share his home with children as young as twelve-years. He would like to be the only dog in the home so he can have all the fuss just for him. He would benefit from having doggie pals to socialise with when out and about. He will need a home without cats and small furries. We have no history of Apache with livestock. Apache is housetrained. He travels well in the car, in the back seats. He could cope with a reasonably busy home environment. Initially Apache will need his humans at home with him while he settles, and then he should be okay alone for a few hours if the time is built up. Apache is seeking a quieter life where his exercise can be little and often as he has osteoarthritis. Our vet team are currently investigating his medical management of this.
Apache is a handsome five-year-old Staffy cross Bulldog. He has a lovely temperament, he is super sweet, and he bonds quickly. Apache is affectionate and enjoys a fuss. He is social with other dogs and likes their company when out and about. Apache enjoys playing with toys, his favourite game is tug. He likes soft squeaky toys and de-fluffing them. He also enjoys food puzzle toys, such as a Kong. He likes to show off his bag of tricks for tasty treats, he knows a ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘wait’, ‘come’, and ‘paw’. Mental stimulation, like training, and scent games is a must to make up for the lower level of exercise. Apache adores his home comforts and likes to take naps with you on the sofa. He is living off-site in a foster home on our Home from Home Scheme while he waits to be adopted. His foster carers say, “He is a very gentle boy. He loves human company, snuggles on the sofa, likes to be close and interested in whatever you are doing.”
