Amy was found as a stray and taken to the pound and nobody came forward to claim her. We were able to offer Amy a space.

ABOUT AMY

Hi, I’m Amy!

Since arriving into the care of SSR, I have had a couple of fits lasting up to 1 minute long. I am confused and disorientated for a short while after. I am currently under investigation at the vets to work out a plan of action. I am looking for a foster home who can take care of me whilst I am being sorted by the vets and to get a plan of action in order.

I am described as a bit of a ‘pocket rocket’ as I have quite a lot of energy but will often calm down when I am cuddled! Human affection really makes me feel safe and at ease and I would love a sofa snuggle buddy to call my own! I am quite over-enthusiastic though and I am looking for a home who has the time and energy to put in the extra work and training with me. Phyiscal and mental enrichment will be the key!

I will need a little extra work on lead. I can pull initially and will bite the least when stood still out of boredom.

Because I love being with people so much, I would prefer to find a home where someone is around most of the time.

In the right hands, I will truly flourish and will make someone the best companion ever!

MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS

I would prefer a home where I am the only dog.

I haven’t shown any reactive behavior, however I am very exuberant and excitable and I need to learn how to approach other dogs calmly.
